Thanks for visiting!
Went to the annual Dent/Oral Health ball on Saturday. It was lovely to see everyone dressed up and looking so pretty. I had a good time, and I got to sit next to my two favourite people, Meena and Mark Douglas yay. I hadn’t seen Mark in a while, and the first thing I think he said to me on sat was “Oh my god, you look like a disney princess!” I would have been flattered, if it weren’t for the fact that he said the exact same thing last year hahaha. Reusing compliments, lameeee. He spent the rest of the night trying to think of new compliments. It was tough, but he eventually came up with “you look frilliant” (yay pun!).
Just some of the night’s highlights: the awesome photobooth, watching (and recording) other people dance, first years saying hi, taking heaps of photos, listening to some funny (though at times inappropriate) speeches haha “BOHDS ball, the biggest ball of the year… and we all know everyone likes big balls….”, watching the video made by the first years, and the one made by the second years, smashed lecturers, filling my clutch with gumballs, watching adrian being drunk (lol), rex calling me elegant (even bigger lol), people I didn’t know staring at my dress (biggest LOL)
:)
At church today, Lina asked everyone, “What is one thing you wear every day?”
My response: A smile.
Their response to my cute answer: ha, gaaaaaaay!
LOL PUNKS, THE LOT OF THEM.
(it made me smile)
:)
It is this idiot’s birthday today.
This was him wearing my beanie; it looks better on me haha :)
Happy birthday Adrian, hope you’re having fun counting how many birthday messages you have on facebook, you big fat loser.
:)
Look look look my picture got in the Bendigo Advertiser newspaper hehehe
LOL trust me to be the only one looking at the camera too
One of the reasons I am ridiculously happy right now.
I thought it would never come (I’ve been waiting for 4 months haha)
:D
Look who finally got a haircut!
This is the shortest my hair has been in 5+ years.
Still trying to figure out whether I like it or not but it’s only been a day and I already kind of miss my long hair.
No more split ends at least
:)
This time last week I was at Camp Curumbene! :)
The reason for the delayed blog post is because I was waiting for the camp photos to be uploaded, so you guys could look at them rather than read what I type. What I enjoyed most at camp was the canoeing and archery, as well as being able to spend time with friends I don’t usually hang with very often anymore. The two people I spend the most time around are Meena and Abba. Even though I don’t live with them, I see more of those two than my housemates. I really love hanging with those losers but it was great to spend time with other friends too; and I guess that’s the main reason I decided to go to Camp, although I knew I wouldn’t have much to do when the drinking commenced haha. While a lot people got smashed, I played cards with Abs and Rex on the first night, and then Monopoly Deal with Vincent and Chris on the second night. In a way, you could say I got smashed in the (card, not drinking) games we played LOL
Farag kept cracking jokes about me not being able to “survive without Meena”. When I fell and hit my head in the low ropes course, he was like blah blah blah, if only Meena had been there to save you haha. In a way, it was kind of a good thing that he wasn’t at camp, otherwise I probably would have just stuck with him the whole time. Instead, I spent heaps of time with Mark Douglas, and the rest of the boys I don’t see much anymore, since we no longer live at Halls together.
I also talked to some of the first years. It was so funny, I came to dinner late one night, so there was no more space on the table where all of the second years were sitting. So I went to sit at a table by myself, while waiting for Em, who had also come late. Then a bunch of first years approached me, asking if they could sit with me. If you know me at all, then you’ll know I’m a bit shy around people I don’t know. As coolly as I could manage, I told them yes, they could sit. Then one girl mockingly said, “don’t you mean yes please?” As if they were doing me a favour by coming to keep me company… hahaha damn little first years. After a minute or so, Emily came over to sit, thus prompting me to victoriously exclaim “See? I have friends!” Then I also pointed to Rex/Vincent/Chris/Steffi/Adrian etc sitting at the table next to me… “They’re also my friends by the way, I have so many friends…” The first years just looked at me as if I was weird hahaha
In conclusion, I obviously make great first impressions… and I am weird.
