Day 4: Something you’ve learned this year.
Photos showing just how much ‘learning’ we do in classes haha.
First year uni felt like one really long, fun mucking around session. Although it doesn’t really feel like it, I guess I also learned stuff (‘stuff’? gosh I’m one intelligent person….)
Some things I learned this year:
- Never wear thongs in labs. You WILL get caught haha
- Don’t bring your laptop to class because it’s the biggest distraction. Being good at tetris is not really an achievement to be proud of lol
- There is no point attending lectures if you’re not going to pay attention. Not sure if skipping them is the best alternative though..
- Lots and lots of mnemonics
- How to do a decent cavity prep, rubber dam, fissure sealants and stuff like that.
- Learned that you can’t rely on luck to get you through every time, some effort is required too. I’ve been pretty damn lucky this year though :)
- How to drive! :D (still a work in progress)
- Prioritise. It’s important.
- Learned some arabic: me ah fena, homar, gazma etc. Such nice things to say to people…
/end post; too lazy to continue.
